Addition to the family!!

The tranny still had some water in it from Memorial weekend. Dumbass Eric didn't take the pan off and get all of the fluid out of the pan and change the filter. So I took off the pan and replaced the filter. Drives good now but I will be changing the filter and fluid a couple more times to try and get the water out that was in the torque converter. Much more fun to come.

awesome.

Decided to get under the jeep today to check things out. As I was greasing up some joints and such I came across a Rusty's heavy duty adjustable trac bar with bracket. Also a heavy duty tierod and heavy duty steering setup with brace and drop pitman arm. I keep finding more goodies!

I've got that trans that Mark had, I don't think I'm going to use it now.

That one is a 21 spline, it wouldn't mate up to his '96 T-case.

This addition to the family is putting a damper on the woody plans. Everyday I drive the 96 I like it more and more. I think I am going to start stripping the custom parts from the woody and add them to the 96. I think the woody is going to be for the mud only now and local trails.
The woody flexes so much better than the 96. The rear of the 96 is very very stiff compared to the 85.
I just don't want to give up the jeep that got me started in jeeps. Just cannot decide on what to do.

such a buzzkill.
You want this trans back? I've found a decently priced AX-15, so I think I'm staying stick.

mild trail rig for the easy scenic stuff, and hardcore rig for big rocks :)

I think that this is going to kindof be the route I take. The rock rails are going on the 96 for sure. I would love to put the 8.8 from the woody under the 96 but that would involve cutting off the antiwrap spring perches to reset the pinion angle. Just don't want to cut into that investment. The 96 is going to get an 8.8 soon though. I don't like those damn drum brakes.

I just don't know how hard core I want to go with the 96. The woody I don't really care what happens to it on a trail so I beat the shit out of it at every chance I get. The 96 is such a nice rig I don't know if I should beat it as hard as the 85. But going out to Moab or something like that the 96 would be the one to hit those trails.

Part of me just says fuck it and beat the snot out of the 96 because I got such a good deal on it and the other part says that I got such a good deal on it to take good care of it. It's not like it is a dd but it rides great down the road and I don't want to give that up.

Sorry, morning rant is off now. Opinions are welcome on wtf to do.

What I gave you for it. I'm not gonna charge you storage or anything.
I know the feling, I was gonna do it, then not, then do it, then not. I found an AX-15 for $200, and it's just easier. Besides, I just replaced the hose and master.

I don't remember what the parts breakdown was with the axles and all that. PM me.
