Added a toy off the OBA system.

Just got this off a JY truck...4$ at the Yard.

Got it all installed today... pretty much alot of running hose and drilling holes.

I decided to mount the trigger within reach but out of sight. also made for a good spot for running the air lines.

Heres the Trigger that cost way more than the horn... :eyes:

Its a handy little spot for it, out of the way - Only used in case of "emergencies".

I put the front skid back on (mine is 4" shorter) so I had a place to mount this big friggin thing. 8) It was the only way I could mount it Unless I went on the Roof... Not doing that. :anon:

...the mount got a little elaborate, but its stable and protects the goodies. ***This also is right kinda where the sway bar was. Took that sit off.

Imagine a rail road crossing... The train coming by. Thats what it sounds like. ...Yeah, my son cried when I blew it in the house. Its kinda loud.

But you cant see any signs of it... even with the hood open.

where did you get the switch? I've been trying to find something to use, but will probably just resort to using a solenoid.

My buddy's family owns a wrecker company and does body work and I have been asking for them to save me one off a big rig when they get another one through the lot.

That one looks awesome but I want one of those HUGE 3 horn ones. I want to sound like a barge. How many PSI do you run it off of?

114 on 140 off... so somewhere in there. It would be louder if I had more pressure.

great idea. my clocking spring is broken in my steering column (so therefore my horn doesn't work) and i'm going to be hard-installing OBA off the AC compressor soon... hehe :scottm:

Hang a pully from your head liner, so you can run a rope up and through. That way, you can pull down to honk, just like the big rigs.

the valve I got is ment for that but hell I dont want the trucker look with that big ass trumpet up there... thats corny for an XJ... maybe on a FSJ it would be resonable. :fuse:

I went for "obvious" with mine...

Valve will be mounted in the garage door opener holder on the OHC I'm installing. I got mine for $15 or so shipped because I searched for something not related to air horns so I got all the industrial/business stuff instead of the auto stuff. I'll have to see if I can dig up what I searched for on ebay. My horn cost me $30 off a 50s/60s firetruck in a local junkyard.

Also, just realized just how gigantic the one you bought is... wish I had access to the junkyards you do!
