Accurate Power Stroker

My bro left me a stoker and he said he put in the kit from accurate power. Since they no longer exist, and I have searched hi and low on the web and in forums to no avail, I was hoping someone here has an idea of what the kit consisted of and what kind of numbers they put out. And no, I can't ask my brother :(

It's in a 96 block and head. I have an '01 so I have to use an 0331 head on that block for the coil pack set-up. Should the valve train from the 96 head go right into the 0331 or am I going to have to go about figuring out what new valve train components to use? Or use the what's already in the 0331?

Thanks much!

I have an accurate power stroker. It's been quite awhile since I built it but I recall it having: crank, rods, pistons, rings, cam. It may have also had the timing set and a set of larger injectors. I can't remember exactly because I added a lot of parts beyond the kit to mine when I built it.

I don't have any performance numbers but it was a noticeable increase. I remember their website used to say "as much as 300 ft lbs of torque".

What do I do about the exhaust ports matching the manifold? I've heard that it can be a problem. I don't have a new header in the budget....

That would be a problem and I have heard one of the 00+ headers will work for that scenario, but I haven't had anyone confirm it.

What are you planning on having done on the 0331 head? You may want to look into finding a 03+ 0331 with "TUPY" cast between #3 and #4. Or there are other ones that have been reinforced in some way.

I picked up an 0331 a year ago and have done some mild porting/polishing. Not sure what year it's from. I'm going to do some research on the casting numbers to check on that... Once I get into this a week or two down the road I should have the answers either way. Both heads I have are good to go so it's just a matter what fits and what don't.
