Problem is , she don't run for more then two minutes before going full rich on the front bank, and lean on the rear bank. Short and long term fuel trims are +/-30% or more. Stalls out, and manifold vac drops down to 8" or less.
Thats what I get for trying to run her without a good fuel system or piggy back controler, darn 00 Xj's with cali emmissions.:twak:Plus I go ahead and put on a ported 7120 head. I figured that the thing could still run at idle and drive around without boost fine. No.

I spent most of my free time over the last month building this project, a few all nighters and untill I can come up with funds to purchase a AEM FIC plus extras, install and tune, I cant enjoy my new project.:tear:

Hears a few pics. I'll try to get a build sheet price list up like other members have done.

If you look closely, you can see those aren't injectors. Those are the coil packs for the ignition- no distributor on the 00 and 01, but the 7120 head doesn't have the mounting points for the rail, so he added some.

He welded bosses for the coil rail onto the 7120 head. The 7120 casting was used on the 4.0 that still had the distributor, and no provisions to mount the coil packs on the later ('00-'01)ignition system.

Edit: DI - distributor-less ignition?

Thanks for the encouragement folks. Aem will arrive in a few days. The turbo is a el cheapo E-b ay special. I wanted to test somthing first, I hope to moddify a more durable unit in place when I can afford it.
The turbo is a EMUSA? no real useful info can be found on unit online.$180 plus free ship. T3/4 hybrid. 50 trim t4with.50ar.Compressor. .83ar t3 turbine. I believe the unit is a full t4 with a t3 inlet flange cast to turbine housing.
I made manifold useing a junk t3 for fitment purposes. The larger turbine housing pushed turbo 1.5" lower. I almost wasn't able to fit oil drain, but got lucky.

:eeks1::roll:AEM installed and operational. AEM wideband is cool, runs a self diag at start up,Vintage 80's 150 amp gauge from ambulance not working so good.I'll have tofiddle with that one.
Now I can install some 42lbs injectors I've had sitting in a box for like 10 years.Tune up the AEM and away I go.Hopefully.

First thing first is to try to figure out my running issue. Its got to be somthing stupid. I'm thinking bad o2 sensor, since problem occurs in closed loop. Allthough the modis and AEm show sensors voltages to be correct.
Bank 1 Rich
Bank 2 Lean
Runs great in open loop during start up and full load.

I will post more pics of Aem and dash mounted gauge/switch panel soon.

O'h and intercooler is a interheater untill I can pipe some air to bottom side and exhaust it out of a 5.9ZJ hood vent.

Very awesome. Me and a couple friends are trying to boost a '95 XJ right now and have something very similar to what you're building except for the exhaust mani. We went with a Renix log style exhaust manifold and modified the #5 and #6 tubes.

Also running an Ebay turbo...that hasn't arrived yet! grrr Hopefully tonight we can mock it up and start hanging the turbo off the engine!

I can't help you with the AEM as we are running megasquirt for full fuel and spark control. It is nice not having OBDII! Good luck!
