A few words from the Cheeseman.....

First I would like to start by saying "Thanks" for the nomination and even the opportunity to run for the position of President of the MWC. To even be considered for this position is humbling. Win or lose, it is an honor either way. So here is a little about me.

I am Tyler "The Cheeseman" Preston and I am running for the position of President of the Midwest Chapter. I live in North Central Missouri with my wife, Camille, and our son, Case. We are 5th generation on a family farm and know what it means to put in a hard days work. My values are represented in my work ethic as well as in my hobbies. I believe that hard work DOES pay and that even though change is inevitable, it is often for the better. I have been a member of NAXJA and the MWC for about 4 years and have been a member of the offroad community for the past 15 years in one way shape or form. I can honestly say that the group of guys and gals around this place make it what it is and that has been the allure that has kept me around here and wanting to stay. I remember coming to the forums years back and being the typical noob and there were the ball busters out there that made me think "man, what a d-bag", and now I consider those "ball busters" some of my good friends, and they know who they are :D.

I am also employeed by the US Department of Agriculture/Natural Resource Conservation Service, and I understand what it means to be a conservation minded steward of the land, both on and off the trails. I am involved with various organizations and sit on the board of Show Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, and actively participate with the board of the Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District. Being assoicated with these boards has helped me gain a great understanding of the assembly and functioning of a Board as well as how to interchange with the other members to achieve a desired result that will be for the best of the community or people it serves.

With all that being said, there is more to me then the witty banner usually related to cheese or bacon. When the time or need arrises to be serious and conduct business, I am able to do so as needed. As some of us have wheeled together, you know that I am serious about safety on the trail from start to finish and anywhere in between. Afterall, wheeling trips are not really about wheeling at all, but rather an opportunity to enjoy the fellowship of fellow wheelers. It took me a few years to truely understand that, but a friend of mine, all of ours actually, Rev Den pointed that out to me at my first Winterfest. Those are now words that I live and wheel by. So in summary...

I have wheeled with many of you
I have enjoyed some dead pig with some of you
I have froze myself around a camp fire with some of you
I have almost had to swim away from a camp fire with a few of you
I have ate nachos with many of you :D
I have derailed threads for many of you
I have helped many of you in one way or another and would like the opportunity to help in the future if elected as the President of the MWC.

If anyone has any questions, please ask them here in this thread and I will answer them here.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this and I would appreciate your vote for MWC President.

Thanks!

Do you promise to shower us with Nacho Cheese at every event? :D

The cheese will flow like wine at the events that I (we) are able to attend. You can bet that Winterfest and the Pig Gig will see R2Chz2 (that is the nacho machines name :D) at each event.

R2CHZ2? :roflmao:

thats cheesy. no pun intended

Thanks, that sounds good man. Hope to see you at Winterfest Oh-10

You are an idiot.....
....and that my friend is what makes him the perfect candidate!
He's a gots some shoes to fill!

Cheeseman has got my vote as well, I think he would be a great replacement for Hale who has done a hell of a job as well. Go "Hombre de la Queso"

Hey cheese-4-brains, er, Tyler,

As you know by now, you won't have my vote, but I wanted to say good luck to you! I know this is a great group of people and they will make great choices. I can't see where there is a wrong choice to be made with any of the canadates.

Peace out Cheese-boy.

Dan

Thanks Dan..I think :D, I fully agree with you that there is not a wrong choice with any of the candidates. In all positions up for election we have a great group of guys that are wanting to do what is best for the MWC. If I am to lose the election to you, I have no problem with that b/c I know that you too have the best interest of the MWC in mind. Good luck to you and we will see how this madness will ensue.

Thanks Byron, it is appreciated. And good luck to you as well, no matter the results of this election, the MWC will be in good hands
