A/C vent controls not working

Well it's a 2000 xj 4.0 and the problem is that what ever direction you want the air to blow ( to face or to feet) it will not change just blows out the defrost.....what part of vacum do i need to check????????????Frozen Windshield :anon:

Im not sure about yours but when mine did that the vacuum ball under the bumper was disco'd. Ran like Sh-t by the way.

There's a vacuum line that runs along the passenger side fender well in the engine compartment. It will 'T' off for the cruise control servo and then continue under the battery to the little black softball in the bumper. It usually snaps under the battery, check there first.
