99 XJ exhaust

Anybody else know if the area in question in the picture looks like damage or factory crimp for drive shaft?
Yes my 1999 XJ had a dent in the same place, it is not bent like in his picture but has a good sized dent. I will be replacing it once I find a good replacement.

This looks nice, do you folks think this will fit a 99' pre ABS?

I just talked too a muffler shop and they told me that " the turns are so tight on the XJ you're going to have crimps no matter what".

I already have 95% of the system. Banks header, Magnaflow catback, Magnaflow cat, and a couple of Bosh Oxygen sensors. And I am seriously considering that headpipe, and just handing to someone to have it all installed.

Am I wrong for not wanting some bent too hell headpipe when I have a thousand dollars worth of exhaust, I dont want some shitty downpipe.

Please help

Update on this system..for 320 from advance with no pinch.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this system with good power increase, prob 10hp with it and it sounds great and a little throaty if standing directly behind the pipe but no renosonse if your in the vehicle, sounds like stock inside.

I honestly could tell a difference rather if it was the DP or the complete system...it runs better and has great throttle response. The rest of the Xj is stock so this is the only performance enhancement ive made. Both my and my brother have 97's, mine with this exhaust and his with factory bend and mine would run off and leave his and mine has 31 mtr's on it.
Just common since tells you if should be a benefit. Anything that is blocked off / pinched wouldnt breathe as well as a open chamber like this. Shoot for 60 dollars, its not like you would be wasting money or anything.

up from the dead...
awesome thread, jeepbme, thanks for the part numbers.

since this is nearly 3 years old, is anyone making a mandrel bent down pipe now?
