I have a 99 Tacoma Pre Runner V6. There is a hose coming out the fire wall on the passenger side that comes off the fire wall around 1/2" There seems to be water leaking out of the hose and dripping onto the exhaust. Any one know what this hose is for or purpose. Even when I am not running the AC water is still coming out of the hose...I though maybe condensation drain for AC but it seems to leak without the AC running...Any help would be appreciated...Thanks..

sure sounds like condensation drain based on location and operation. You may have something restricting flow through the hose allowing the water to pool on the evaporator side and drain very slowly, i.e. seem to leak without the AC or you may be running the defroster for a bit (which cycles the AC to dry the air) and pulling moisture out of the air.

My condensate drain on my '01 Prerunner is in the exact location as described. My question is, how long after parking my truck would the condensate continue to drip? It still drips after almost 2 hours. Also, is this condensate simply water, or should I be concerned about it running off into our drainage system?
Thanks for any and all info-
