99+ intake manifold and header

Sounds good on the info. I'm putting a small amount at a time, because I need skids and whatnot as well.

Another question that arises about the new intake is the throttle body spacer. A couple companies have different part numbers, but both have a 62mm hole, so I don't see how they could be any different?

Each company will have its own part number for basically the same part. I hear the TB spacers won't do anything on the 99+ intake. They might give a slight gain, 1-2 hp on the older intakes.

I read on Go Jeep's site that it's an extra 76 ccs, but a buddy of mine has a spacer cheap, he gave me a part number, looked it up and found the different ones, it's off a 4.0L, so it will work.

I also read an update on Go Jeep's site, it said a guy with a ZJ got a 26.9 rwhp gain on a dyno. I'm pumped.....:D

Yeah, that was DJordache, but he also swapped in the later injectors with the manifold so I think most of the HP gain was down to replacing old, worn injectors rather than the manifold swap itself.

Dino,
I think we sould take up a collection for you here and on JU to buy you one of these puppies so you can intall it, and let us know what you think. I'm suprised it something you haven't done yet, but I know your a little skeptical of the gains from it. It would make a great addition to your site

The problem I have is even finding one locally. They're as common as hens' teeth. I was almost on the verge of buying a 2003 manifold from a junkyard when I was still in Saudi (they were going to charge me just $120) but at the last minute they changed their minds and decided they wanted to sell the manifold with the rest of the engine. Bummer! :(
I know I can buy one from e-bay but they usually go for over $150 and I'd also have to pay for shipping to the UAE. The problem for me is that my '92 PS pump bracket won't fit so I'd need one from a '97+ XJ, and I'd probably need the pump as well.
I agree it would make a nice addition to my site and if I ever do the swap, you can be sure I'll write it up.
I'm not sceptical that the manifold won't produce any HP/TQ gain at all, but I just think it'll be more of the order of 3-5hp rather than 15, 20, or 25.

I saw one on Car-Parts in my state for $50. I'm not sure of shipping cost to over there. I usually find the US Post Office is cheapest to overseas. I just shipped a lathe part to England. The shipping cost was $82 for 5-day Express on about 20 lbs. I think 4-6 weeks was about $40-50.
