Eh..downer lol. I was hoping mine would be around the same height lol. Ill be on 4.5 RE coils, 3.5" re leafs with a small shackle and maybe relocaters, 35 km2s..May bump it up an inch just for extra clearance.

so i actually did stuff yesterday.

last week i noticed this:

so i preemptively spent my tax return on PSC hydro assist. but first, had to address my cracking issue...

cleaned it all up, cut off the outer parts that were completely cracked off, found a very small crack in the inside part of the rail

i even reused my factory aluminum spacer, which was good enough to not break when my frame cracked around it. my only issue was that the PSC pump was fully threaded in the center hole, so i only used two bolts to mount it. i couldnt get the factory long ass bolt to thread into the pump correctly so i left it out so i wouldnt break it. the ram was on backorder so that will get mounted when i get it. steering feels GREAT its so nice to not have to turn the wheel 10 degrees before anything happens. it feels heavy without the ram but doesnt feel like its struggling at all. cant wait to get the ram on there.

You cant use a full bolt on the center hole. The pump internals are larger and doesnt have the clearance. Instead the say to just use a short bolt to go thru the bracket and attach to the front of the pump only. Funny, mine doesnt feel heavy or anything without the ram. I wheeled the second day of Rocktoberfest without it and it did fine, even bent a WJ pitman arm without hurting anything else or even noticing.

Any particular reason you went with the pump mounted resi and not the remote, larger version?

i want. link to the kit you got?

idk if they have it listed online, but its pretty much the street/trail kit with a 14:1 delphi box. i didnt see exactly what i wanted on the site so i just called. i wanted a 12:1 box but they didnt have any of the older style ones (im guessing saginaw) left, and only the delphi ones... which were almost 900 bucks for the box alone.

awesome thanks, i was gonna do that anyway. idk if its heavy really, its definitely not slower than stock but it feels like im putting a little more effort into turning than with the stock loosey-goosey worn out box. its something that you wouldnt notice unless you knew how a XJ was supposed to feel... my girlfriend would probably have no idea that it felt any different if she drove it. got the pump mount resi purely bc of packaging. i aint got room for that huge resi. the one psc supplies is a LOT bigger than stock.. barely fits next to the airbox.
