this started off as a good night last friday until we decided to take a short cut home and got stuck on three huge logs laying in my driveway.. got over them, then the jeep just shut down, turned it over a few times then finally heard a loud pop, and i later discovered his distributor had broken (main body had broken from the shaft, just spinning freely)
specs 97 wangler, 2.5L engine (4th one in the jeep), manual trans
-got everything lined up right, and slid the new disi. in
Then, going round and round checking grounds, fuses, connectors, etc. etc. replacing fuses and so on, still no fire.
so i got out the test light, and we found out the coil is getting power right when you turn the key, and then it goes away. No power at all when it turns over.
crank sensor? PCM?
i think its cause its a 4banger.
whats your take on this?
