I seached, but didnt find anyone that used a 97+brake booster and MC. I know the push rod is a lot longer, but if I use the pedal from the 97+ will it be an issue?
The pedal should be swapped as well because the mounting hole is higher up, but it will not solve the length issue. I used a custom spacer between the firewall and the MC booster.
I know of another guy who swapped in his old push rod into the new booster, he had the work done at a shop for a couple of bucks. The hardest part was convincing the shop that it was what he wanted.
