I have a 97-01 4WD AW4 for sale. It shifts and runs smooth. The tranny has 170K miles on it.

In the event that I loose my XJ to my college bound daughter, I decided to refreshed it with a reman 4.0 and found a deal on a reman aw4 as well.

The aw4 was in a 98XJ that she has used a daily driver for the last few years. Let me know if you are interested or have questions.

So its a 98-01 aw4? It won't work in a 97, and a 97 wont work in it.

98 is also a 1 year only trans, no input speed sensor needed for the 99-01 rigs.
