Why go through all the trouble of dealing with the emission stuff, why not get a tuner and delete it.

Repeated tranny failures is why I parted out my old XJ.im going to take it to a shop and make sure the pcm is comanding the 1-2 shift and the 3-4 shift.
still debating weather i want to rebuild it myself, or have it rebuilt by someone
Repeated tranny failures is why I parted out my old XJ.
Lesson learned.
If you don't have a vast store house of tranny rebuild knowledge....pay a pro to do it.
pulled the tank today, got the evap sensor glued in place, extended the fuel tank vent, and mostly got the walboro 255lph pump mostly installed, just waiting on a new strainer and fill/vent hoses to come in
the walboro pump was nearly a direct replacement for the 96 pump, it a bit taller so i have to chop a bit off the feed hose for it to fit, sam plug and everything!

based on the go jeep site i should be looking at around 26 gallons with the vent mod.
still need to get a scanner on the jeep to make sure the pcm is doing its job commanding the shifts, if not ill look into trans options. thinking of doing a monster 4l60/4l65 thats good to 500 horse going to button up the engine bay and redo some wiring before i take it to a scanner
Be careful with the monster transmissions. I purchased their monster in a box kit and the way they do the reaction hub to front planetary Torrington bearing is bound to give people issues. I only found it because I rebuilt my trains, but after I called them they didn't seem to care much. I would hope that they address this in their complete units, but I wouldn't bank on it. My situation was converting a 4l60 to the 4l65 planets, among a ton of other upgrades, but you may be ok since you have a 65 already. Just a word of caution. I have pics and can provide you a couple links from LS1Tech if you want them.
I did that same vent mod. Good for 26 + gallons for sure! How cut up was your hand afterward : )
tested all the leads form the pcm to the trans connector, everything tested fine
switched upper rad hoses from the 90* elbows to a tweaked saturn hose( suggestion courtesy of racer32)
re did the intakes with a stubby filter from the parts store so the filter ends up behing the headlight
loomed nearly all the harness so the engine bay is pretty much wrapped up, aside from rigging a/c which isn't that important at the moment
going to test the internal trans harness tommorow
evap stuff is all done! seems to be working but i haven't really ran the jeep very long, no leaks at least.
Good job with the EVAP stuff. I ditched it but probably should have run it honestly.
Saturn upper hose... you mean rubber pretzelI looked through so many hoses and that is the only one I found that would fit my situation. Glad it worked

the l99 pump just puts the inlet in an odd ball spot compared to the rad
The L99 one looks like it will be great but it ended up in a very bad orientation to the rad.
