45? let me guess...about 3 seconds?! Drove mine today under tow. I swear it does 0-60 towing 2,000lbs under 9 sec.

Sorry I haven't snapped those pics of the a/c. Been busy with a new house....

got the coil plug switched out and it seems to have fixed the issue. sounds aahhhmazing

im gonna take it for a spin in the morning and see what it does

ok took it for a spin again and the trans is still pretty goofy, it wont upshift into second but will up shift to 3rd once its going fast enough, however it will down shift into second just fine as im slowing down.

seems to be running good now tho, so thats a plus. the adams driveshafts also came in today! i'll get some pics up soon

ok so on the road the trans isnt shifting right, but when i put it on stand, rear wheels off the ground, it seems to shift just fine at the appropriate speeds.

new drive shafts:

f

already installed the new rear shaft, im going to hold off on the front until i tweak the pinion angle, which im not going to worry about right now.

My napier hood vents came in yester day, i think these will vent out heat decently as well as keep water off the coils compared to my fairly open datsun 280z vents i currently have

thanx, im trying to get every thing "done" so i can drive it on the street to the near by trans shop.

if i need a rebuild i may throw a couple performance items at it as well, some day i might throw a cam and heads at the motor, so id like the trans to be prepared

I did the Transgo SK kit with the yellow spring and a Corvette Servo. Shifts like a racecar when you're on it :)

I also put in a hardened sun shell and a few other bits too.

thats more or less what i was thinking

im pretty sure the band is shot,i checked the travle of the servo housing and it moves around 1/4''- 3/8'' IIRC it should only have 1/8''

im going to take it to a shop and make sure the pcm is comanding the 1-2 shift and the 3-4 shift.

still debating weather i want to rebuild it myself, or have it rebuilt by someone

I found a really good manual when I did mine. I just uploaded it to my site if you want to download a copy:

idk i can pick up a rebuilt unit for 800$ with a heavyduty sprag/sunshell, corvette servo/ .50hp boost valve.

so it may be worth the money. i dont want to screw up the trans and have to pull it again.

You mean like me? :) $800 is pretty cheap for a rebuilt 4L60E especially if it has upgraded parts in it.

yes, lol, that may or may not have been implied haha.

i thinks so to considering im sure a shop would charge me 2k for a rebuild/install

plus a lot of others ive seen have been aroun 1200-2k$

so i think 800$ and a 2hr round trip to pick it up doesnt sound like bad plan to me

plus a one year 36k mile waranty

emissions question:

how is it you guys are running the fuel level sensor? i decided to go ahead and add the emissions stuff now instead of later. is it as simple as hooking up any close to GM OE spec sender to the signal wires of the pcm?

thinking of adding a "gm ohmed" sender, unless of course thats a completely moronic idea

I just added a switch. I can select 'full' tank or 'half' tank to trick the ECU into running the evap monitor. That's the only reason the ECU needs a fuel level. I thought I had the correct resistances down but I believe different years need different level sensors/resistances. The switch I made for PhotoJared was incorrect (but it worked for my swap).
