I am new to the forum but I want to ask everyones opinion on a '94 two wheel drive cherokee sport with 220,000 miles and a skip. The guy is asking $1300.00. Do not know what the skip could be. I know it skips at idle, not sure if it clears up at higher rpms. Do you guys think the jeep is worth it and if it is do you think the skip will be an easy fix? By the way it is a 4.0 H.O.

I don't know man I've got an 88 with 254k and not a thing wrong with it. So I can vouch they are very resiliant vehicles BUT..... a skip could mean it needs an engine or head also or at least a rebuild of one or both. I would probably see if a tune up and wires fix the skip. that would be cheap enough. good luck man. and welcome to NAXJA. DIRT

2wd? i don't know. 1300.00 seems high for that milage. 2wd thats like having a casterated jeep but......

What I am looking for right now is something cheap and reliable because I have a new son and need something that a car seat will fit easily in, my standard cab S-10 does not work well for this. If the skip is easily fixable then this would seem like a good vehicle. I also have a '90 cherokee with a bad motor but a 4.5" lift. I just need something to get me through until I can fix this one but I don't need another jeep with a bad motor. I have said all of that to ask as a general consensus if most people think that skip is easily fixable. All replies are greatly appreciated.
