My bosses 93 grandcherokee is being a real PITA.... He has spent more on sensors for this damn thing then it was worth.... replaced EVERY sensor on the engine, including headgaskets n what not... its just been a lemon...

Well I was driving last week and it died on me.. wouldnt fire up for nothing... so I got it towed home and then to a shop yesturday... replaced the CPS and there ya go, it fired right up with no problems.... well, made it about 5 or so miles doen the road and there it went again with its dieing shit... coasted to a parking lot and parked it... tried it again and it fired up.. no issues right..wront.. made it a few miles in the direction of my house and again, it cut out and died.... so I pulled the negative term off the battery and let it sit for 10 mins and reset it self.... it fired up after that....

THIS morning, NOTHING!! :twak:.... He replaced the fuel pump also.... Soo now what? ECM? where can I find one of those at? and how much are they? would hate to have him buy a new one for it to not be the right fix...either way, this pile is keeping me from working....

HELP PLEASE!!

What engine?

From reading your post it sounds as if the wiring harness clips at the PCM may be loose and causing your issue (hit a bump in road etc).. this is pretty common on the earlier ZJ's from what i read.

Might want to disconnect the harness, clean and apply dilectric grease. Maybe even a few zip ties to hold it tight.
