93 4.0 head gasket job

Finally think I scored my first xj here. 93 4x4 4 door. Trading the guy an Xbox 360 some games and a flat screen I won at a Christmas party for it. A bunch of new parts but needs a head gasket job. I will have the head sent out. My question to you guys is is there any recommendations for upgrades on the head while I have it off the truck? May do a cam swap and header/exhaust while I'm at it I don't know. Fire away guys I wanna hear the experts opinions I'm too new to these bad boys to know.

Only thing i can think of is port matching for intake/exhaust. Mild cam would be nice too.

You could always turbo the jeep

Turbo would probably come later although that would be awesome. What cam do you recommend for something mild?

Id do 99+ intake and neon injectors or 4 hole mustang injectors roller valve train and cam also if u got the $$$ also if u havent all ready order new head bolts

Just an opinion, but the 4.0 is plenty stout stock. I'd stick my money into reliability instead of performance.

Depends on the mileage and how hard it was used.

Mopar performance, third edition, P5007161, Jeep Engines is a good read.

I would go for a 99+ intake manifold and header if you can swing it. I wouldn't change out the injectors unless you believe yours are currently clogged or leaking.
