Hi,
I have 92 XJ project that I have spend a lot of money on already has stalled. I mean I put new gas tank in, rebuild the engine with hi flow exhaust headers, 99+ intake manifold, new head gasket and valve cover gasket, Bought new 3-part CSF radiator, new AC Radiator, New Oil Pan Gasket, New Transmission Gasket. I have new coolant hoses and new transmission lines.
I just got a new job and can't find time to finish the project. All I have to do is put tranny lines, coolant hoses, put back air intake and that is it.
I thought about hiring someone to finish the project for me or to get rid of it all for $1000 firm.
What you guys think?

why not put it to the side a few? and when you get some time finish it off ...

those three things you list would take 10-20 mins tops

I am very tight on parking space and my new job pays pretty well so I figured I could buy a jeep that is in great shape.
Also I never mentioned but this Jeep of mine needs body work, at least the floor work,

depending on how well it pays I'll sell you mine, it's in mint shape

Can you post pics in here or send them to my email. same user name at gmail
I would love to get my hands on a Jeep with blown engine but good body and then just put my engine in it.

yeah if I can unload this one I am waiting to hear from someone with a blown engine I can throw my spare one into

email sent

Ok, this is what I did so far with the Jeep.
I put new Fuel Tank, New Fuel Filter, New Trannsmission Filter.
Engine work includes:
  • Front and Rear Seal
  • Timing Chain Kit
  • 99+ Intake Manifold
  • Hi Flow Exhaust Header
  • Remanufactured Head with nice valves
  • Hi-Flow Fuel Injectors
  • New Coolant Radiator 3-piece
  • New AC Radiator
  • New AC Evaporator
Also New Engine Mounts, Full Tune-Up
What Left to do is put new tranny lines on (PIA, its hwere i am stuck with these o-ring crap)
Put Coolant Hoses In.
Put OIL in and Tranny Fluid In
Get A/C Lines and put them in
Probably needs new battery.

I had bought the jeep for $500 with head gasket issues, have put over $2,000 in parts. Endless hours of labor and I charge myself $60/h so that has to be at least 100 hours I put in.

Jeep also needs some body work, especially quarter panels, floors and rocker panels.
I need to recoup at least $1200 otherwise I am just going to yank engine and fuel tank out and get myself some other Jeep.
I have all the parts necessarry to get the Jeep going except for time and patience.
