200k+ runs great. 4x4 4door. Auto/4.0l/d30/d35

Bought a trooper. Don't want my xj to waste away.

The good:
Lots of preventative maintenence.
2" budget boost.
Good brakes
Good tires
Logans metals winch bumper
Good seats, good carpet
Heater works
16" snowflake rims
Very rust-free
Tow package with nice aftermarket wiring.

The not so good:
Uses a bit of oil
Gonna need a starter. Every 20-30 starts, i have to tap this one with a screwdriver. Once tapped its fine and fires right up.
Paint is homespun, but keeps it from rusting
A/C is complete but doesnt blow cold. No idea, never worried about it.

Come take it for a test drive. I've daily driven this rig for 4 years.

This is literally going to sit serving as back-up vehicle until someone comes along with the green, so think about it and text me at 619.569.four967

In san diego, asking $2400.00

haha...posted a new pic. Hopefully that one will show.

Gas mpgs are about 15-16 best tank. about 12-13 towing our little 4x8 trailer all loaded up.

Smogged in Oct...no problems. Registered till Oct 2013. I'll probably sell as-is right now.

Clear title in hand, though. No salvage nonsense.

I drive almost exactly 1100 miles a month from El cajon to Mission valley. In that month it's usually down about a quart. It doesn't smoke unless it's nice and hot and sitting in a drive-thru, and even then it's only every once and while. I've started a few threads about it, and so far I've pulled the valve cover, cleaned the CCV system, fixed a few broken vacuum lines, too, to troubleshoot any crank pressure issues.

Also, I just changed the cap, rotor, plugs and wires about 2000 miles ago, and noticed that only two of the 6 plugs had oil fouling on them.

Soooo, long story short, I'm thinking either valve guides or rings in two cylinders...

oh and all power doorlocks and windows are functional, as are front and rear wipers, turn signals, etc, etc...

It has a nice aftermarket kenwood head unit, as well that has a aux port right on the front for a 6mm (or whatever) ipod/iphone input. Works pretty well.

I've got a book full of receipts for the work I've done. it has a lifetime radiator from pep boys thats about 3 years old, and a rebuilt denso alternator done last year. The battery is pretty fresh, too. Not sure when that was put in. Maybe 1.5/2 years ago?

Hmmm..tempting, but I think I'll keep it as-is for the moment. I'll keep it in mind, though...

Let me know, I'm getting my bumper money tomorrow and need to find something. I love the Logan's bumpers and they have a great price but all the bad reviews on huge delays on actual delivery of the bumper has me scared of buying a new one. Ill go as far and uninstalling it from your jeep and putting the stock one back on. Let me know....

I've gotten a couple inquiries on the winch bumper alone. Let me know if you are interested but at a different price point for the jeep minus the bumper. Its the only part i'm considering separating from the jeep. The jeep would have a stock bumper installed.

Question: would it make a big difference for everyone looking if i went and smogged it? I might just go ahead and do that if it will.

I think smog is good for 90 days, right?
