Found the codes for the springs on my rig & would like to know the load ratings:
ZO3 Rear Spring Group lii
Z58 Left Front Spring Group Viii
Z77 Right Front Spring Group Vll
GVW Rating - 4900#

Are you just looking for some new springs or do you have some specific need like towing or cargo capacity?

Quadratec has regular duty and Heavy Duty replacement leaf springs. The HD springs are supposed to equal XJ UpCountry springs and give 1/2 to 1" of lift. Coil springs are also available. Crown Automotive Parts makes replacement springs.

Original equipment springs are also still available. http://allchryslerparts.com/ . Any model year springs will fit all years of the XJ.

I just want to replace the existing springs that are starting to sag somewhat.....I've seen all the places you've left links for, but I need to know what the OEM springs are that I have in there now before I can order any replacements. That is why I listed the codes from the build sheet. If I wanted to just guess, I could order any of them..........

Does it really matter what springs are in it now?

Just order ones that suit your needs! If you tow often order the HD, if not just order the standard ones. I doubt that it will make that much of a ride height dif. either way.

If you just want to replace the springs you have with springs that have the same load rating, just call the dealership, but ur gonna pay plenty extra without anything extra in return. Or you can flip to the back of your Quadratec catalog(or go online) and get the ones for your Jeep, they are built as close to factory spec as you can get without paying factory prices.

If it were me, i would seriously consider all of the things I use my jeep for, and inted to use my jeep for, then i would figure out what kind of load rating or lift, or softness or if i need heavy duty springs or whatever. Then look at some aftermarket spring companies.

want to go cheap about it? take it to a local spring shop...a PROFESSIONAL spring shop and have em re-arched or stretched....they should be able to do it properly with no loss in quality

back before i put a REAL lift on my cherokee, i did this for $85 for the two front coils and rear leaf springs and obtained a 3.5" lift

Dealer options:

Springs, rear
5200 0050 Standard Duty, Coded LB
5200 0051 Standard Duty, Coded LC, EC
5200 0706 Standard Duty, Coded LN, also used on ES
5200 0544 Heavy Duty, Coded LK
5200 0545 Heavy Duty, Coded LL, EL
5200 0707 Heavy Duty, Coded LM
5200 2390 Heavy Duty, Coded LS
5200 2392 Heavy Duty, Coded LT

If I knew which one of the above matched what I have at the present I could then make a choice for one of these:

LL - 3-1/8" free arch, load rating 405
LM - 5-5/8" free arch, load rating 605
LS - 6" free arch, load rating 675
LT - 7" free arch, load rating 755

http://www.quadratec.com/products/56010_10.htm
but neither of these 2 above list any specs

Crown catalog list:
84/01 Standard- 4 leaf 52000051AB
84/01 Heavy Duty(LS, ZGV, ZVV) 4 leaf 4886185AB
84/01 Heavy Duty(LT, ZGW, ZVW) 4 leaf 4886186AB
84/01 Heavy Duty(LK) 4 leaf 4886187AB
84/01 Heavy Duty(LN, ZUU, ZFU) 4 leaf 5200706ABAB
84/01 Heavy Duty(LM, ZGU, ZVU) 4 leaf 5200707AB
but none of these codes match the ones on the build sheet either.

I have been satisfied with the way the rig rides in the past and am not looking to lift it any other than back to the original height & possibly slightly stiffer. I've also had a local spring shop "re-arch" original springs for other light duty trucks I've owned and it is hit-or-miss at best.

Thanks.........

Here is a link to recent thread about springs and it may help eliminate some Part Numbers from consideration. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=82482

Any 3 letter spring code with a G in the center position is an Up Country spring. My UpCountry coils are code GK. Most stock coils (no tow pkg, no UpCountry) at the junkyard are code FF or FJ.

From you info --
-LL - 3-1/8" free arch, load rating 405
-LM - 5-5/8" free arch, load rating 605
-LS - 6" free arch, load rating 675
-LT - 7" free arch, load rating 755

I believe that LT is the UpCountry spring with +1" over stock height and a slightly higher (firmer) load rating.

LS is most likely the tow package spring.

LM is most likely stock.

Good Luck.

What you deciphered it down to "sounds" fairly reasonable.............then I'll be ordering the LM springs.
Thanks!

I put a set of Quadratec HD rear springs on my 96', they sagged after 8 months of driving. I don't recommend them. I switched to Old Man Emu. Like that a lot better.
