88 Xj, 4.0, 2wd

Came across this jeep today. Seller let it go for 1000.
Current non op reg. I put a new battery in it and it fired right up, then died. Wont fire up again.
1000 bucks and its yours. 4 door. No rust.

Haven't checked anything on it yet. Just put a battery in and cranked it over. Ill start on it tonight.

I totally agree... I waited for almost a year to find the one I have now...
Make sure you look over the WHOLE xj a few times before buying it... if something doesn't look or feel right then it probably isnt... Im on my 4th XJ and have realized how ridiculous people are when it comes to jimmy riggin' stuff just to get the thing sold.

I have a scantool that plugs into the 88 and will give you a good idea whats wrong.. but i'm leaving to the socalxj jambo tomorrow morning and won't be back until monday night.
