I am selling my MJ to get some money for other projects.
This truck is reliable and can be driven home from my place to anywhere.
1988 Comanche 4.6, 5.5" RE lift, 35" BFG AT's,
4.6 stroker - was built 3 years ago and has about 30,000 miles ( guessing since the speedo doesn't work). New valves and springs, rockers, lifters, pushrods, pistons(flat tops), oil pump, gaskets, double chain timing gear, brand new head(decked a little, don't remember off the top of my head).
Has an Exteme Comp Cam for low RPM torque, new water pump also. this was all professionally installed with motor mounts that were replaced this year. Put a new two core Modine radiator last year and pulled out the A/C condenser so there are no cooling issues. Electric fan hooked up for manual operation. Exhaust is the stainless steel header and downpipe, new muffler and cat last year.
This engine runs good but still has the Renix intake so you can improve it some from where it is now. Basically everything was replaced except for the fan clutch and that was checked good.
The body is straight with very little rust on the rocker guards. This is a western truck so its been in the desert all its life. It has a RE 5.5" lift with a SOA in the back and 4.5" coils and 1" spacer in the front. Short arms with new bushings on uppers last year. It has a roll bar/cage in the bed with a removable bench seat complete with seat belts on a frame. Great for kids.
Removable cross bar to make room for large items in the bed. Hi-Lift (included) mounted on the side bar. Bumpers are custom low clearance and the front fenders have been chopped some.
Front axle D30 disconnect 4.88 gears with a ARB locker that works. A/C is converted to onboard air with a 5 gallon tank in the bed and two quick disconnects.
Rear axle D44 lockrite locker and 4.88 gears, drivers side shaft is a Superior shaft and other one is a stock, both were new two years ago.
Tranny and T/C are stock and leak a tiny amount but nothing bad. No SYE on the T/C. New rear drive shaft u-joints this year.
Interior is good with no rips or tears, bench seat with column shift, full gauge set and AM/FM CD radio with detachable face. Two extra gauges(engine and tranny temps) next to radio.
Tires are 35 x 12.5 x 15 BFG AT's with about 60% left on them.
Needs - rear brakes(complete with new drums), speedo fixed - I believe its the gear on the T/C since it used to work before I tried to replace it when I regeared, vent fan only works on high, defroster only(vacuum problem) and trac bar bushing replaced.
Come with all of these spares:
complete set of shafts for the front and rear axles(inners/outers intermediate with collar)
New in box heavy duty U-joints for the front axle
fire extinguisher mounted behind seat
full set of 1989 FSM's
Haynes manual
old steering box, leaks but I was gonna rebuild it and tap it for hydro assist
master cylinder/booster and proportinal vavle from a 1996 XJ to upgrade the brakes
Full size spare for trail only( its a 35 x 14 x 15 but it will work.)
Also included is a HP D44 front axle tube thats empty with no outers. just the tube and bearings, inner C's have been cut off but are included.
Located in Aztec NM - northwest corner of NM
Asking $5500, fly in and drive it home, I can pick you up at FMN (Farmington NM) or DRO (Durango CO).
