I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the SkyJacker 8" kit. How would you rate it vs. other kits, like Rusty's or Big Off Road's. Thanks.

there are a million and one threads on long arm kits.

If you know how to weld.. build your own :D that way you can use super beefy rodends and the like.

i never did like skyjacker's stuff, but to each his own.

ive personally never had any problems with rusty's.

ive heard good things about clayton's LA setup.

RE has one too, havent heard much, but if it holds up to their reputation then it should be good stuff.

You didn't mention them but, Rockkrawlers 8" longarm is awsome off road. On road thier is probably better. Its weld on so thats somethong else to consider, but you can bolt it on then drive it to your local welder. Kinda nice. Go ahead and get spare shafts and such. If your new to this, at 8" w/ 35" tires your going to be breaking things. Sorry more money out of your pocket, heres some more things you'll need.

probably at least a newer 8.25 rearend, I've got a 92 8.25, Its held up w/ 4.56's and a locker so far but I don't trust it. Just bought a 9".
Either lots of extra frontend parts, super 30 kit, or waggy 44 axle

Lots of people will say you don't need this stuff. But, unless this is a mall crawler you will. I've broke my entire front wheel off on a trail. Try driving 1/4 mile to the trailhead on 3 wheels and no brakes. That sucks, done it.
