Some early morning thoughts, more to follow when i wake up...
As you can see, i used a hi-quality SPX puller to remove bearings.
As per fsm, thought everything would pull out at once (seal and bearing).
In actuality, after about 50 failed attempts, I mangled out seal separately, bearing still would not budge, then inadvertently mauled bearing as seen in photo, inner cage and rollers then by their own free will exited axle.
After using my trusty magnetron (solar-powered model) to remove remaining rollers f/axle tube, all that was left was outer bearing "shell". In three girlyman whacks remainder of bearing left axle REAL FAST.
New frozen bearings practically levitated themselves in (ditched the Timken factory grease for a combination of M1 grease and gear lube).
NEXT TIP TO FOLLOW: how not to let spider gears fall into drain pain (good thing to leave under diff though) and three hours worth of brainstorming to get 'em back in... :roflmao:
ps, when you're poor, you're mentally ill.
when you're rich, you're "eccentric".
Hope this and other info helps...
