6" Lifted XJ For Sale

GhostDakota

NAXJA Forum User
One of my fellow employee's here at Quadratec is selling his XJ. Here's the info:

Gauging interest on what I could get for this, not 100% committed to selling it but I have no time to work on this and don’t know when/if I will have cash to do it. Red 96 XJ, 4.0L, 5 speed.

The Bad: Runs Bad, maybe a headgasket. Losing fluid but have not done a leakdown to test it. Also needs a Catalytic converter.

The Good: 6” skyjacker rock ready kit. 2 sets of alloy wheels and tires (33X12.50), Bushwacker cut out flares, Garvin rear bumper/tire carrier, ARB Bull Bar with Warn M8000 winch, Daystar rock rails, garvin roof rack, installed SYE with custom rear driveshaft, among other things. Also will include a Ford 8.8 if you want to do the axle swap.

Located in Royersford, PA.

COVER OF QUADRATEC! This Jeep has been on the front cover of the Quadratec Cherokee Essentials catalog, and is currently on the back cover of the 2008 Holiday Edition Cherokee Catalog! This is your chance to own a Jeep that's been in a magazine/catalog!

whats his asking price, out of curiousity?

He doesn't know or I'd have posted one :) He figures he has $3000-$5000 into it on the bumpers, tires, rims, lift, winch, etc., alone. He wants to see what people offer and if it's the right price, he'll let it go. I'd LOVE it, but I don't have cash. About to drop $1000 into a new camera.

Yes, our lot is quite nice in regards to Jeeps, especially in summer. I love working here :-D

Would he be interested in a partial trade on a low mileage 04 Rubicon? Im looking for a Cherokee. John

He's got 2 other vehicles already, so he's looking to just sell it at this point. I will run it past him tomorrow though :)

nice lookin rubi!! i'll trade ya for my xj... :)

Spoke with him in regards to trade/price. He said he'd like to get $5000 obo for it. He is open to offers. Not looking for a trade. Sorry man! :(

BUMP! $5000 obo!

$5K? Is that for the total package as pictured or is all the fun stuff going to be stripped, bumbers, rack, jack, cans etc? What is the mileage on the drivetrain? Funny I have all the past catalogs its been in, I've been using it as a "goal" of what my truck could look like... lol

If he does part out all the good stuff I would be intersted in the parts too.

Thanks!~

No parting out. $5K as is with the listed 2nd set of rims/tires and Ford 8.8. 140k on the drivetrain, clutch is just about 1 year old.

Your "goal" vehicle could literally be your vehicle ;-)

See where I noted OBO (Open to offers)? If you buy it for $5000 you can part it out, or just do an engine swap and you're set.

Price it out.

Engine swap: Used engine from junk yard with 40,000 miles: $500. Engine swap you can do at home with approx 24 hours worth of labor (I've done a couple before).

Or, part it out (These are their prices new):

6” skyjacker rock ready kit - $2300
5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws - $1040
5 Mickey Thompson Baja MTX's - $810
5 American Racing Diamond Back rims - $750
5 Dick Cepek DC-1's - $610
Bushwacker cut out flares - $455
Garvin roof rack - $572
Garvin rear bumper/tire carrier - $1119.99
Garvin rear Gerry Can mount - $111
ARB Bull Bar - $800
Warn M8000 winch - $570
Daystar rock rails - $300
Installed SYE - $250
Custom rear driveshaft - $300
Ford 8.8 - $250

So that's roughly $10,238 worth of parts.

could he deal for cheaper without the roof rack, winch, the mickey thompsons (ill i want is the american racing rims and the DC 1) and the bull bar

Everything must go. No parting out :) Like I said, he is open to offers. Make an offer and who knows!

Just part the set of tires and he would make out a little better than 5k.

and sell it for 4k :)

PART OUT! That thing is sexy but I can afford the whole thing. All I really need is the bushwackers :)

He's married and has a kid, and is a manager here at Quadratec. No time for parting it out. It's gotta be sold as-is.

Josh: I replied back to your PM.

I wanted to reiterate something as well: The Jeep DOES run and drive! It's being driven from Royersford to West Chester on Tuesday or Wednesday. So you could probably drive it home depending where you live.
