I (think) am starting to build a crossover racing XJ. I figure a truck that's a good rally racer would make a good street truck as well.

I have the 15" lace wheels painted black HammerTone (looks pretty cool) with new red paint on my '93.

Question; in the WANT-Ads there are a bunch of wheels being sold in sets. I'd like to go to 17" on the stock bolt-patern. Anyone here with some input as to what models out there with 5 on 4 1/2 AND 17" wheels? Maybe new Exploders? Maybe import trucks? I'd do steel but I'd rather alloy. Maybe even the newer WJ's etc?

Usually when you call up and ask what the lug patern is on the wheels for sale they NEVER know what the hell your asking!

Thanks!

I know that the wheels on Exploders ans F150s are 5 on 4.5 and the f150 comes with a 17" wheel but I believe that they are both hub centric and not lug stud centric. Meaning that the wheel is centered by hub not the lugs. I once tryed putting the wheels from my buddys 01 f150 on my 90 XJ and the hub hole on the F150 wheels was smaller than my hub.

I have seen an XJ that had 17s from a newer mustang (5x4.5). I have to find that pic

Yeah that's what I'm talking about... the F150 as well.

I'd LOVE to see that Mustang pic.

Thanks all... any more?

I also have seen a XJ on late model Mustang wheels. Looks good.

look into chevy makes like monty, hhr, equinox, also imports like lexus/ nissan-Z and some mitsu. If it were me I'd stick to DC and get magnum or charger wheels . mustang wheels look like mustang wheels to me...

I'm looking for an absolute STEAL! I'd want to see if I can use my "network" to find someone who just wants to get rid of his other wheels cheap.
Although I remember looking to replace one of my 87 XJ AR factory wheels YIKES!!! ($$$). Huge money.

Maybe someone out there is desperate for beer money or something. I want to take the wheels off my wifes brother in law's Dodge (17") and put them on my Bronco. I think he'd notice his new truck up on blocks with no wheels and tires though.
