4th Annual Country Fried Weekend, Jan 20-22, 2012

Got one guy from Naxja over there signed up for it. Not sure of his screen name here though.

Now we have a couple wheeling trips tentatively planned.

1st. is a all day expo style Forest Service scenic ride, with a route from Georgiaoverland.com (my buddy's site)

2nd is a local guy who has family and friends who own a private property wheeling area, and is taking the folks who are looking for something a little more challenging. (I will likely go on this ride)

3rd is a local trail area called Sheep Wallow. Its a legal, unmaintained FS road, and its pretty gnarly for a FS road! Its a great opportunity for someone newer to wheeling and want to get the feel for it, or someone who might not to wheeling anything as challenging. ("no breakage" sort of a place, but fun!)

These rides are nothing formal, just follow the respective 'leaders' who are going to each place. They are likely going to take place on Saturday, and should be back in time to start the big feast (4-5pm).

the guy from naxja that is going is me. since im not gonna have an actual campsite and just my xj will it matter where i park?sleep? also do you know of anyone else coming from north ga or tn thast i could maybe follow in since i ve never been here. also i wont be there till saturday morning

Its a first come/first served sort of a thing, so wherever you can find a place to park is ok. Myself and others will be there early on Thursday morning, as we usually need a little more space, and the good spots will go fast. I am also frying the food, so I get a premium spot. You shouldnt have any problem finding a spot somewhere...

Best bet is to look at the signup list to see who is coming, and then do a little research to see where they live. Im sure you could meet up with some one on the way down. Post up over there that you would like to follow someone in, and see what happens.

cant wait to go now stump! now im trying to talk my gf into coming with me! but she fears freezing to death for some odd reason. cant imagine why(cheap tent in jan) has something to do with it i guess.but hoping for a great time and even better food!
