Ive still been lucky enough to keep the body off of rocks and trees for the most part, even wheelin hard black trails with rain, managed to get no body damage while other rigs were less unfortunate. Landed super hard on the driver side frame rail, slider, floor alot, my driver is getting hard and harder to open lol

Thanks, the sun roof only pops up, it doesnt open all the way it was installed by the previous owner, and it leaks a little but only under the hardest of rain storms. Idk where to get new weather stripping so im sure im going to end up siliconing it shut lol

I used to wheel with someone with a 2dr and a sunroof. He flopped it VERY slowly onto its side (he could have gotten out and pushed it back on all 4 in the time it took for it to flop onto the pass side). He unhooked the latch on the sunroof and swung it open thinking he could climb out that way. The sunroof swung open, hung on its hinges for approx. 2 min.... then exploded. We figure that the stress on the roof of the XJ as it was laying on its side was too much for the glass of the sunroof to handle. It was really funny though... the only damage the Jeep got was the broken sunroof.:laugh3:

i got an ebay chinese special for less than 300 to my door. 50 amps, small and light. works bitchin, i cut A LOT of 3/16" plate with it, as well as burnt out the rosette welds in my d44 housing pretty damn easily. it was FAR cheaper than paying for all that cutting at a shop or using cutoff and grinding wheels.

jeep looks good BTW

Flat crossmember, made of 1/4 inch wall 2x6 and 1/4 inch plate. Would have taken much more time if it wasnt for my plasma cutter. Tomorrow i plan on finishing it with a flat belly tcase skid.

Still buttoning a few small things up before NACfest, radiator, bolt passenger seat down (lol), brake master cylinder.

You can also see my new toy in the background :)

Looks good. Do something about those exposed tranny mount studs though

yeah those won't last very long like that. At least they'll grind off easy if you have to replace it though...

Finished my skid plate, pics tomorrow. Also put in my dodge MC. Def too much master cylinder for my brakes, super stiff pedal, and almost no stopping power. Stock one is going back on tomorrow.

Also looking for a little more steering power before NAC fest, thinking about drilling out the high pressure fitting in the PS pump. Yes/no?

You don't need the dodge master, you still have drums dude lol

I figured id give it a shot, i got it for dirt cheap off rock auto, and my pedal was kinda mushy with the stock MC. I think im gonna go durango this time, and save the dodge for 1 tons :)
