How hard it it to get the flange off of my old tom woods shaft, and then put the flange from the other shaft on it?

not difficult. not even time consuming really.

just dont loose those needle bearings in the centering ball. that centering ball alone is a $50 part. parts stores dont typically carry the whole spicer part that contains the centering ball in either of the shafts you pictured.

Were good :D

ya sure? looks awfully close.

you might be able to get away with it because your shock bodies are mounted at the bottom. but when one side droops that side shock gets closer to the middle of the rig.

this thread brings boring.....come on we need substance.....abuse (oxygen, acetylene, argon, etc)

You mean like this? :dunno:

Welding will resume sunday, ill be working in the rear suspension.... Find me a good steel supplier near 07652 and ill build more cool stuff. On a second note. you have a dana 30 so i dont have to listen to you. BURN!

hood scoop for brake resivoir. gotta keep that stuff well-ventilated

If its too firm, ill cut my loses and throw my old one back on. I paid 29 bucks for this one. Only one way to find out

I'm jealous of your welder. I've got an old marquette stick welder from my grandfather and it's the coolest thing I've ever welded with.

Bought a dodge 2500/3500 master cylinder. Yeah.......thats not gonna clear the hood/

I've "heard" that the Dodge Van 1500 has a smaller/lower res. Haven't confirmed it myself, but if things are too close for comfort under there it may be something to look into.

pretty sure thats a totally different MC. it looks like it wont clear, but it does. just shut the hood and quit whining :yap:

and yea, that bolt thing is what you need to extend. i put mine in and didn't like where the pedal was engaging so i popped the MC back off again and threaded it out a bit. pedal engages mint.

I used the main plate from a set of HD offroad engineering shackle relocation brackets, and used a YJ style shackle hangers from Ruff Stuff, as well as their 5 inch shackles.

Im super happy with the entire project, rides wayy smoother down the road, and the rear suspension travel is way better.

Its honestly like a whole new jeep, no more vibes, clunk is almost gone (new heims), speedometer is no longer 20 mph fast, and it rides way smoother.

The only negative is i need the wheel spacers no, the rear tires rub the leaf springs a little, and the inner fenders a lot. I wish i could find the right studs for my RC ones. Hopefully if i order new spacers tonight theyll be here before saturday when i go wheelin.

Tacked up.
