44s & a 3 link

Yup, johnny joint, and then the upper is 3/4 ruff stuff heims which are still good. I was shocked at first too, i thought it was loose jam nuts, so i cranked them down as hard as i could, and the clunk was still there.

I think it may be from road salt/mud/new jersey toxins. lol

do you lubricate your heims? I use silicone spray on my panhard heims as often as I am down there, seems like cheap insurance.

the silicone prob works just as well. the tri flow is cool bc its a 'dry' lube.. so it keeps stuff lube'd without attracting dirt and such. its used primarily on bike chains.

the only heims ive ever worn out were because when flexed my trackbar hit my bracket and put a lil stress on the heim.

7/8's is small for lowers IMO.

I was going to put in my shackle relocation brackets, but got lazy, instead i put a bend in my LCAs with a harbor freight 12 ton pipe bender, and i was lacking some downtravel in the rear, so i added some 2x2 square tubing under the mounts.

Finally fixed me welder. Shit works mint.

My indestructable 35+ old bench vice broke :(

ihave the 16 ton pipe bender. works great for slight bends in some heavier tubing.

what are your lowers made of?

2 inch outer diameter .250 wall DOM.

And yeah i was suprised how well it worked

worked that well did it? I have 2"OD x 3/8"wall DOM lowers that I was deciding whether to clearance the frame rails, or try and bend... didn't think the tube kinker would work that well.
good to hear.

My guess would be no. I run the same axle as he does but my links already had the bend in them.

I also have a samurai that's full width 44s and it doesn't come close to rubbing.
