44s & a 3 link

I used to break front shafts every ride I went on. Since I got my alloys I haven't broken them in 3 years. I love them!!!!
GOOD investment!

As for the hoops, what is the widthat the bottom?
Ids there rroom to trim some off if you need to??

Bent my hoops the other day and am looking for the time to rip my floor out and weld mine in. Good luck with yours.

I tried to bend the tubing, using a hydraulic bender at a buddys shop. the diameter of the die was too small, and the wall thickness on the tubing was too small, and the tubing kinked :(

Good luck with yours as well. I look forward to seeing pictures.

Been thinking about a YJ shackle conversion for the rear. Something along these lines:

Any reason why the YJ shackle isnt as common as just a regular shackle relocation?

id say just because xj people already have xj shackles lying around when they do thier conversion. the only real difference is the mounting width at the top of the shackle

I was also thinking with yj shackles with no cross beam between the two shackles, youd get more flecks.

The shackles i have on my XJ are too long, id like a shorter shackle, so i figure i could build the YJ shackle conversion for cheap.

flex has more to do with shackle angle and shock length/setup than anything

id say i'm not hurting in the flex department lol. and i doubt you would notice anything solely by switching to yj shackles

I saw your rear suspension set up doin work on the comp course at rausch lol, flexs really well.

I think ill do the yj shackle cause I have the teraflex shackles and they're wayy to long so ill try and sell those, and I could build my new shackle conversions with the money

you wasted your money if you dont put a superjoint (bobby long, ctm, yukon) in it. have fun warrantying that stuff when the spicer joint lets go. I found my yukon joints for 150 a pair used.... theyre out there for cheap you just have to be willing to look.

might as well have the 30 in it if your not putting superjoints in it

ive broken 4 alloy shafts(and a couple stock) without damage to the spicer u joints. then i decided to run the yukon super joints. i greased them as directed and got about a year out of them before they wore to the point of knocking. im back on spicers lol. just make sure to run full circle clips!
