For Sale; Axel, Rear, Dana 44 from an 87 Jeep Cherokee, complete. 170k, 3.54, track-loc (factory), TSM disc Brake conversion, SS Brake lines, Chevy Monte Carlo Calipers (reman), replaced left shaft bearing and seal at 166k, U-bolt flange, 2 new extra axel retainer plates. Jeep is a daily driver, stock tires, no lift, never off roaded, except for hunting. Rear end makes a moaning/whineing noise when accelerating or on the gas, no noise in turns or when letting off the gas, (assume it is a pinion bearing). Want $500 or a complete ready to run (set up for a Cherokee) ford 8.8 with disc brakes and 4.10 gears. (No drum brakes included). Has Performace Friction Carbon Fibre "CF" pads.
Reasons; Wife won't drive with out emergency brake, 44 is overkill for my needs, I think it will be cheaper for me to go with the ford 8.8. Located in Nashville, TN. Do not want to ship. Axel is still in the Cherokee, you can hear, test drive, inspect at my location. I have a garage and can pull it out when sold. Price/or 8.8 firm.
