430k miles XJ in 4wheel Drive Mag

I was flipping through "4 wheel drive and sport utility magazine" tonight and saw an article about an '87 XJ with 430k on it that still ran wheel on the original drive train, and was still owned by the original owner.

In the write up they were installing a 6.5'' lift, lockers from and rear, and inside roll cage. Supposedly the guy had done a lot of wheeling with the jeep in stock form. Pretty remarkable to be chugging along at that mileage.
The article caught my eye because I have an '87 XJ with 260k on it..

Yeah I saw that, pretty neat. I do think though, with 430K on the odo if I owned it I'd run it to the 500K mark first, before doing anything like that. Just to be able to say I had a half-million miles on my Jeep...
