just started playing during 6th Edition myself. I play Ultramarines. I'm addicted, I always loved model cars as a kid and now i can build models and use them.

I started way back at the 3rd/4th edition, but never really played 3rd.
I started off with space marines myself but evolved to the IG then the DkoK,
Guess I just like the Emperor lol. And assorted other Armies too. All told I probably had 5-6k points in figs before I moved.
The last edition I played was 6, are they still on that one? Moving to the boonies didn't really help me find 40k'ers...

6ED is still current. I haven't played any previous editions. I went with Ultramarines, myself. I will get some pics up soon. I haven't started any painting of my own and I bought some cheap painted stuff........ EBay is a hell of a drug.
I have some pics of yesterday's 6 player game, 1500 each player. It was kinda crazy. called it 2 rounds and 4 hours in. Too much chatter, some had to leave.
Currently I run:
Chief Librarian Tigurius
Command Squad
Lv2 Librarian
2 ThunderFire Cannons (I modeled my own to scale)
2 Devastator Centurion Squads (Proxy, just using nice bases for now. very $$$)
2 Tactical Squads
2 Scout Sniper Squads
Razorback Tank (sometimes I borrow a friends Land Raider)
I have a few bikes but I am waiting to assemble them. I am going to make a Command Squad on bikes. Chaplain, Apothecary, Company Standard, running Hammers and Storm Shields.
I also have a couple generic captains, i use em as techmarines for the TFCannons
and 4 Veterans
I haven't put heads on some models cause I want to get an airbrush before doing anymore assembling.

I recently got a mini rule book and the new IG codex so I'm looking forward to playing a little bit.
I hit eBay pretty hard when i can find a decent deal. Forge world figurines are so freaking expensive but the detail is worth it to me.
I always try to go for unprinted figs, a bad paint job messes with me.
I have 30 storm troopers and 1 squad of normal Krieg guardsmen (2 squads of storms actually built),
A Krieg command squad, 5 or 6 unbuilt leman russes, a demolisher, and an unbuilt Valkyrie .
I've got other stuff kicking around but I can't remember where or what. Leftovers from the move. Not much made it with me haha.
Only 2 figs painted, both unfinished haha.

I like IG stuff. I like the militant look. chose spacemarines cause they are cheaper than IG. there is alot that is cheaper than IG. that one looks good. here are a couple from saturdays game
