4 link setup questions

...with or without the heims 1/8" still measures the same. :roflmao:
no, what I mean is - does the bolt head clear if you can't tip it sideways slightly going through the first hole in the bracket, i.e. if there is a heim in place? I'll draw a picture if I'm not explaining this well enough.

Don't ask how I learned this, either. :dunce:

Y-E-S THE BOLT FITS! !!!1

i locked in my lower bar numbers & my upper bar axle numbers on the calculator keeping the only variable the upper bar frame location.
i can get the i.c. to 128" but cant seem to get the as below 90%.

so, what does 90% mean? how will the handling differ from your 62%?

also, i can't figure out how to attach the calculator xl spreadsheet so you guys can laugh at me, i mean comment on it. :banghead:

i forgot how high my p.o.s. is so i raised the cg height to 39" & that seemed to help bring the as down a little bit. i can get the as to 70% but the instant center is 195"
is that too far out there for a trail rig crawler?

If you lower both frame side mounts down two inches, you get 68% AS with 123" IC (assuming your 39" CG is correct)... You pick up a bit of roll steer, but nothing crazy. I guess your lowers would mount below the frame, but you still end up with probably 22" of clearance at your link mounts.

If you want low AS, level (ish) lowers is really the only way to get there.

that sux, i was trying to keep a high belly clearance. :(

You could also raise the links at the axle more. Pretty sure the bolts on my rear lowers are above the axle tube. Raising the uppers at the axle should raise the roll center too.
