4 cylinder cummins diesel?

You know those Frito Lays trucks? They have the 4cyl Cummins.

cummins 3.9L is a 4cyl.

there are a good number of the delivery box trucks, like the Frito Lays that was mentioned, that run these 4 cyl. cummins. There is a guy locally that put one in a didge dakota for his teenage son so they would both have Dodge pickups w/ a cummins...the dad has a one ton unit though..what ever floats your boat I suppose!

Yeah they do, it's the 4BT.

I have seriously considered using one of these motors in my Scout. It's small enough it would be an easy swap without any firewal massaging and it's lightweight(compared to my SV motor)

If you do some searching you can find all the info you could ever want on these motors as they are becoming a very popular swap and are easy to find.

The are going to offer it as a crate moter they claim at some point I think I read thru Mopar. Diesels have been tryed in rock crawlers but seemed to get pulled out for lack of powerband. It's got the tourqe but it won't rev out when you need it too like on a hill climb. Powerband is just too narrow for that but for general use I'd bet they could sell a ton of them.
