Hello,
I have read the multiple threads on this question but there is not a clear answer so I'm hoping someone can help out with this problem.
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Manual Transmission that is throwing an engine light. The code is P0123 on my diagnostic tool. Upon further diagnosis, unplugged from the TPS, the 2nd pin (K22) on the signal wire from the harness is reading 4.65 volts. From my understanding, this should not be reading any volts, so there is a short somewhere that shares this ground or I'm getting mixed signals from the PCM. I have read there is a related issue with the clockspring, so I have removed the horn relay and fuse, to isolate this issue. I am still reading 4.65 volts on the K22 signal wire, and am unsure where to point the issue.
Questions:
1. What other sensors share the same 5V connection with the K22 signal wire to the TPS?
2. Since I have removed the horn relay and horn fuse, do I need to remove anything else to isolate the clockspring?
3. Are O2 Sensors related to this issue?
Thank you in advance for your help,
James
