I just installed 4.88's in my XJ with an AW4 with OD on 32's ... and I love it. Granted, I do not run 70 MPH regularly since I live in a rural community, but the torque is great. Fuel economy was improved only a little.

I run 4.56s on 32s and love it. good power. no difference in gas mileage compared to 3.55s and 27s.

Find a new shop.
