4.5 Betts rear leaf

Hi guys! Been lurking this site many years (6) gotten some good info. Cant quite get a good answers to the questions I have soo... I joined! Has anyone bought 4.5 in. Rear leafs from clayton offroad? They have about 5+ inches of lift. These springs seem tho be the exact same springs as ome dakar without overloads . They do have the military wrap. The general rule of thumb i have followed to lower is third leaf . I have never done it on a military wrapped spring before. I would like to lower about 1". Which leaf would you guy's suggest removing?
 
Update my previous post . When i ordered my leaf springs i took into acount for settling.i called clayton they told me that they take settling into account and couldnt tell me which leaf to remove to lower it alittle. Called betts whom clayton offroad advertises as the spring company they use. Betts responed to my email before i bought, said they are moving away from custom work. On positive note betts is iso certified. But they also state that some of their springs are sorced to thier quality standards. As stated before they look a lot like ome xj springs whick now are made in Malaysia. Ps i didnt have the budget for deaver. Imagine that me with empty pockets.lol
 
Have you traveled far enough on 4x4 trials to allow break in and let them settle? I wouldn't bother removing any leaves until they are broken in. If the 4x4 trails are not nearby, I would load up +300 lbs of cargo, all your buddies, and do some urban wheeling.
