4.2 Wrangler motor

Does anyone know of any good websites to find used but good engines? I know this ain't an XJ, but I figured you guys could help me out. I got an 89 Wrangler with a blown motor, and don't care or have the money or time for a swap. I have searched the whole southeast for one on craigslist, but had no luck.

car-part.com may or may not be useful. According to it, there are only 21 listed in scrapyards in the entire country... that's only yards that have their inventory computerized though.

I'd rebuild it, personally, if it's at all possible. You may well end up doing an engine swap. You could pick up an entire running driving XJ with a lousy rotted body for less than some of the 4.2s I saw listed, then do a full swap.

You could throw a 4.0 in, same block

you probably wont have any luck... most of those 4.2's are scavaged for the 4.6L-5.0L stroker, and the remains tossed.
