Budget just went out the window. No gears. No lockers. Maybe winch. Yes long arms. Need new steering setup and passenger side out knuckle. Who sells the wj conversion kit?

All the parts I've purchased and run from SFR have been great. I'd look hard at this kit if I were looking for WJ knuckles.

Will a 03 wj steering box work in a 98 xj?
They are priced different on rockauto only reason I'm asking is because my steering gear box is leaking profusely.

“Budget” to me is not knuckle swaps and long arms.
Throw some money at maintenance, a good junkyard takeoff stock knuckle, V8 ZJ tie rod and drag link (aka new joints), and some control arm drop brackets for ride quality.

I have 2 rigs that I have swapped the same 33s back and forth on. 4.56 and 3.55s in the two rigs.
Take this with a grain of salt bc I live in the flat CA valley
I have only done one trip on the rig with 3.55s and was surprised to get 21 mpg on the highway going 70 from Sacramento to Fresno. My other jeep with 4.56 ive owned since 2011 and I average 13 mpg normally. I also felt like I could go up the hills faster with 3.55. I was going 55-60 up the massive hill to shaver when I normally slow to 45 going over hwy 80 in my other rig.
Offroad in the rocks on moderate/difficult trails (Rubicon, Red Lake/Coyote Lake, Brewer Lake) I honestly didnt really notice the difference in torque wheeling and the slower crawl speed didnt seem that different to me. That one trip has really changed my thinking on my next build. Im honestly thinking about doing 3.55 or 4.10s and an atlas for those rare times I need the slower crawl ratio.
I drive to most of the trails obviously so the MPG to and from helps lessen the hurt for the whole trip. If I was towing only, the deeper gears are more desirable.
The caveat is that you will prob see more hills than I do so the deeper gears might be more desirable for you.
Lift and whatnot, I agree with Phil and stock components or tubing with heims on stock knuckles would be better.
As for the WJ not fitting on 15s, I have a buddy running stock 15s with a 1.5 or 2" spacer to clear his WJ Swap.

Budget was the wrong word..
No, the WJ steering or gear box is very different. A Durango or YJ boxes might be an upgrade. Also, any WJ Big Brake will need 15 inch steels or 16 inch aluminums. I will say some 15 inch steel rims did not fit on my WJ Big Brakes. Also, you can space out the rims. On the gearing I have run 32.5s with 4.10 gearing. A bit sluggish in the mountains. On flat land OK.

I used IRO spacers and Ruff Stuff 1-ton GM Cross over kit. I did use Rusty's OTK track bar the first time. Used SFR OTK trackbar setup. Much better.

It lives. Sounds like it has a nasty cam but that's because not all the Injectors are firing. 1 and 5 to be exact.
I don't own a soldering gun so not goling to attempt the Injector pigtails myself.
Leaking from the radiator just a little bit.
Also ripped out all the wiringthat wasn't stock. It looking like ssomeone tried to cook spaghetti around the battery. It's was backwards and Jerryrigged like crazy. it's getting the K Suspension +&- cable upgrade should arrive tomorrow. I was able to charge the battery overnight and starts like a champ.
Anyone want a 50" Curved light bar.
. Brackets are rusty and light switch doesn't work so I pulled all the wiring out. Everything run the to the bank for the amp and sub got yanked out too.
The radio comes on but the speakers are blown.
What does this plug go too it was found on the passenger side off the main cables. Nevermind i can't post pictures. It's a white plug with a single blue wire.

Speedometer reads correct don't know if it's been regeared or if Speedometer gear has been changed out. Assuming stock axles so 3.55s and 35s wouldn't read correctly?It lives. Sounds like it has a nasty cam but that's because not all the Injectors are firing. 1 and 5 to be exact.
