Is anyone running this setup. I actually have 5" and I have a 1988. I want to go with TSL radial 33x10.50. I am going 15x7 wheels with a 4.5" back space.
I have did minor trimming. Will I have to do more ? My inner plastic wheel wells are already gone. My searches didn't turn up anything on this set up. My current 31x11.50 LTBs are rubbing bad, but I have 3.75 back space on 15x8's.
Thanks

are you sure you got 5" im just barley running 2.5 up front and the 31's dont rub unless they are stuffed...im putting on 33's and 4.5" tommorrow should work fine...but i am going to cut my fenders

Yep it is the backspacing that screws it up. Here is a pic before I built my leaf pack for the back and lifted it another 1/2" to level it.

If you go to this link you can see the spec's on the lift.

I have approximately 4.5" of lift (Tomken 4" with 3/4 spacers) and clear my 33" by 10.5"s, I do have minor trimming in the inner wheel wells, but nothing to the outer plastic pieces. My rims are 15x7 I think, or at least they are from a stock 1998 grand cherokee. I assume no backspacing with these rims above the factory spec, too. Heres a pic at full flex:

I have put in 3" extentions on my bumpstops. Once I get the wheels it looks like I'll be fine. Jersey if you have the wheel cranked in either direction are you still good ? My main stomping grounds are Logged areas so the ruts are horrible. Thanks :us: :sunshine: :us: :sunshine: :us: :sunshine: :us:

Boise - With the wheel cranked I am good, but only after doing the trimming up front, which is pretty extensive for the fronts of each wheel well. I had to take a section of body metal near the front bumper off each side, which I then tied into the new bumper, and also trimmed the innner fenders and removed all the bolts sticking out that hold the fender flares on and turned them around.

I think the bolts are the only worry I have. I've tore that metal peice up pretty good. I may be better off cutting them off at the nut and smoothing the top leaving the nut there. I've pounded them back already. Do you know your actual tread width ? Those 33 swampers only have a 7.9" tread width so I may be OK. Guess I have to wait and see. They have 32x10.50 TSL radials and their tread width is 9". Kind of strange, but I think 7.9" will work to my benefit. Hopefully I'm done trimming and beating on it.
Thanks
