32s and lots of creaking from tie rod, ends

Hey all,

Just put 32s on the 94 xj a couple months ago. Lately I have noticed creaking when I turn either direction at low speeds. Just installed Rusty's steering box brace an hour ago and noticed the creaking is still there. Upon closer inspection (watching the steering operate while my wife turned the wheel) it seems as though the creaking is coming from the tie rod ends.

Do I need a thicker tie rod and better tie rod ends?

Maybe new tie rods. 7 years on factory joints running 32" TSLs. Check and lube them on a regular basis, so far so good. Lots of wheelin' and highway.

could be from the u joints...

Try checking your upper panhard mount too. On mine, when I turned the wheels side to side the panhard bolt was shimmying inside the the RE panhard bracket.
