On the contrary... It sounds exactly like my Cherokee...
I must admit though, it does not drive like your Cherokee...
The difference is way beyond raw acceleration although I will admit that that is sort of nice too. IMO, the biggest advantage is it's on highway manners. Cruising up Monument Hill in OD with the Torque Converter locked is as easy as pie. Around town (here, that is) it runs in OD TC locked almost all of the time at around 3 pounds of boost. Those of you that run up and down the street here can appreciate this difference.
Truth be told, it drives much easier now than it did when it was stock.
When I had it in the Dealership for the Transgo shift kit to be installed, after the line Tech did his test drive, he had all of the Service Writers and the Service Manager take it out for a spin.
To say there were surprised would be a very safe understatement indeed...
I recommend Forced Induction to everybody. If you use your rig to tow, then adding some sort of Forced Induction be it a Supercharger or a Turbocharger will go a long way to improving the experience.
There is, as always, there is one caveat. The engine must be in good order prior to fitting any sort of compressor. If the engine is in poor condition then a compressor will take it out. This only makes sense as the combustion chamber pressures are being significantly upgraded...
Nothing on the face of the planet will take out a worn engine than a compressor. Good oil pressure is needed as well as a healthy cooling system. While I installed an aluminium radiator, it is not required. The aluminium radiator installation is just me being, well.... me.
What can I say?
