242 Wiring

I haven't had a chance to call the dealer yet about the jumper harness; how much did you say it was?

Here's a pic or the different shift gates. The 231 is on the left, 242 on the right. Both are from 97 XJ's and both are in my driveway.

The jumper was about $15.00.

Thanks for the pics, I will keep that pic handy when I go to the junkyard.

My 242 is back on the bench. The front output shaft bearing is too loose to run. I was getting some vibes and the occasional bearing grinding noise.

Does anyone know of an online source for the Crown 242L-MASKIT Late Model 242 rebuild kit? Drivetrain.com has a kit for around $140, but I was hoping to spend less.
