There's a collar/trunion with a bolt in it that adjusts the position of the conencting rod that goes from the shift lever to the rotating portion of the linkage. Loosen that up and then reset the position to where you need it and tighten it down. Accessed from below the vehicle on the driver's side.
when you start adjusting start out with the transfer case linkage on the transfer case in 2 high then put the shifter in the console in 2 high. Then tighten up the adjustment nut and confirm it will shift all the way down in to 4 low.
