I'd be worried the gov't would show up while I'm at work and steal all my stuff. What other purpose could they have for wanting to know the hours that I'm gone and how far away I am when gone...

I didn't see that question. I just put AMERICAN where it asked for race. That's just dumb - it shouldn't matter! All the other stuff I left blank, because if they knew where to send it they could actually DO THEIR JOB and find out the rest. They won't be coming to my house, because I cut the address out...the barcode could tell the rest.

This may just create more US jobs looking up the omitted info...then again, it could get outsourced to India.

I'm just shocked that it is written in English, and not bi or tri-lingual....

Got my Long Form yeasterday. On the back is a telephono number for the non english speaking people to get help with the questions.

Anyway.
I filled out "2" under question #1 and sent it back.

Hmmmmm. The census form is quite clear, they wanna know who is living at the address it was mailed to as of 1 April 2010.

Unless something goes horribly wrong with the closing, we will not live at the addy on 1 April, but will be on the road for several days while we move. So technically, filling it out would be submitting false information.

Quick, everybody that doesn't want to fill out the 2010 census make hotel/motel reservations or go camping March 31st to April 2nd. Keep receipts/records of your "outing" and when they do the follow up visit tell them NOBODY lived here on April 1st!!!
