2000 Silverstone XJ Limited

from the factory:

ABS delete
towing package
Chrysler 8.25 rear axle

Add-ons:

Remote start/Security system- Compustar system.
(opens and closes all windows from the remote)
ARB Snorkel, plus (made/bought enclosed cold air kit) that I have since taken out but you can have it... spun aluminum enclosure over conical filter and rustys airtube stand.
Rubicon Express 3.5" Super flex lift (full leaf replacement)
Sylvania Xenarc HID headlights
Bored throttle body
High-pinion Dana 30 in the front while installing RE lift.

Electronics:

I built this system for excelent audio quality.
The jeep has 150 square feet of cascade(dynamat) in it on all surfaces.

Eclipse 55090 copper chassis dvd-a/cd player with 8v pre-outs
(One of the best head units of its time, great sound quality)**$1400 new**
Alpine SPX-F13M component speakers (4 sets)
Rockford amplifier- don't remember the model, if it's important I will look under the seat and get it for you.

Just rebuilt the top-end and had the head magnafluxed, 3 angle ported and decked while replacing the annoyingly slow leaking head gasket.- Engine runs strong!

The bads:
Back door sticks on driver side and so does the rear hatch
driver door squeaks
grandmother rubbed driver fender with her suv and i didn't fix it...just dented it a bit.
Some rust peeking through paint on the bottom of the rear doors

140k miles

Asking price: $5,000?
***I'm really open to offers, my number is more of a stab in the dark...
I never drive it except to take it out and run it up to temperature(highway) and keep things lubricated(every 2 weeks or less)

I will be posting photos as soon as I get a chance to take them, I have older photos that represent the jeep pretty well but are not exactly right.

well here are the old pictures, the bumper is back on now and etc... but I will get some pictures tomorrow.
This is when it just had a 2" budget boost, it now has the RE lift, and the wilderness rack is long gone.

It also has a hitch on the front that allows it to be towed- with a 2" ball receiver, a blue-ox one, not sure of the model... has plenty of mileage from being used on our old XJ and this one to be towed behind a motor home.

if you were closer i would probably have a buy for you. But she doesnt want to go to mass! hehe

I'll meet you half-way in NY city area... I'm trying to sell it because i'm buying another car for my wife next week and one of the ones i'm looking at is just above NY... If you're interested let me know, I'll even drop it to $4000 for the hell of it... just want the cash to help pay this other car... If i don't sell it to a Jeeper that will appreciate it for what it is, it's going to be used as a trade-in and wholesale'd...

Hey Audiophile-
I may be interested. I've been looking for a Limited since mine was totaled a couple years back. Now I have a sport 2wd, but I really miss the limited. Any chance you'd be in the Stamford CT area any time soon? Also, do you have recent pics, and how bad is the rust? Thanks in advance...

Sorry Ive been busy with work and maintaining my other vehicles... I am hoping to detail the xj and get some pics this week but my work schedule and the weather will determine that... I am obviously not in a rush to get rid of it anymore- we are holding off on buying the wifes new car for a little bit. The rust is barely showing, I will have to inspect it to find out if it's rusting from inside the door and just finally getting through to the paint or if it is just lightly under the surface. I will get detailed photos of all the body stuff when I get it cleaned out and detailed.
