1st Annual Uwharrie OHV Jamboree ~ Mar. 30th - April 1st

How did yall like the big slick muddy hill on RML? I went down it twice with minimal issues, shit was sloppy, just alot of me turning left way before I needed to, then turning right before I needed to in order to keep the jeep straight, going up it was a different story, I hit it hard in 4 low, got 3/4 of the way up, and that was no more, backed down a bit, put her in 4 hi and 3rd gear, romped the shit out of it, after sitting at the top lip turning left and right repeatedly hitting 4500 rpm I finally caught traction and up I went... Love my spartan Lol

Those drag slicks of yours probably had something to do with that. :)

I didn't have any issues going up or down it at 8 pm that night looking for Andy and Glenn and I'm not locked at all but I have good mud tires.

I didn't have any problem on it either but I didn't do it until later in the day when it was dry.

It was actually very early in the morning, probably 10 am, I just saw Glenn pull up at the outpost, walked over talked to the NC4x4 crowd, Ecors guys and a few others I just knew through volunteer work and what not, I am thinking you just hadn't got it set up yet. but glad to hear u did at some point.

I saw your green xj with yellow paint on everything underneath, and a silver honda.

Anyway, I talked to Eli a bit also, and he said NAXJA continues to be the biggest Uwharrie Volunteer supporter, period, which is pretty darn cool. Keep up the good work folks.

Yeah I got there around 8am, but we didn't get set up until Glenn showed up because he had the tent in his truck lol. So we spent a good part of 8-10am sitting in the Jeep out of the rain.

We must have literally walked right past you and didn't realize it...we both saw Glenn pull into the outpost and ran across the street to meet up with him.

Ha, I saw Glenn pull in, went and shook his hand said who I was, then walked over to the Jamboree, must have just missed.

Its all good, Im sure itll happen again, If I had known you could have used my EZ Up, its a 10x14 I think? it was sitting in my truck all night friday and until about 2 pm saturday, next time yall wanna go up just lmk, its an hour away and I got about everything we could need. Ill be up there again April 27-29th with my club (About 15 xjs and some yjs and such) and any of yall are moer than welcome to join.

Phone video Jason shot on the first ledge when I almost dumped it over.

Ha, yeah, When you walked away Glenn, Nick, Tim and Jason(?) walked up like 2 minutes later.

Yea Jason might take the Rover up there this weekend and camp... the Rover guys will be there this weekend apparently. So I will take that as he had fun. I need to fix what I cut!

No problems on rml here we didn't go back to camp till 3:30 am sat morning. last trail was Daniel on 31s and open then back out at 8 am. Hate I missed all the naxja.org people

We went and had a good time. First trip to uwharrie and really enjoyed it. We met a few at the tent but missed anyone to ride. Didn't get to wheel mine but rode with my friend and got to try out a bunch of new parts on his. Found out my frame is cracked at the steering box! Got a little video of Andys jeep in the background at the bottom of daniel with the sending unit under the hood. I'll see if I can figure out how to post it.

lol Yeah, that POS! I figured when I came back someone was going to have pushed it down the hill out of the way.

Use Photobucket. It loads videos well.

I found one of the videos while at work. I'll have to get the other at the house. Had a lot of fun there. We should really make an event there in the fall. I know that both kenny (the guy in the videos) and myself would come. We got to try out his mt ttc claws, 4.88 gears and spool and spartan this weekend. He's a little timid right now. Not quite used to the situations lockers put him in yet. lol He didn't want his fenders to cut the new tires. I can't blame him, they wernt very cheap. He sold his bumpers to a guy on the way down there. We're going to make a front bumper that ties into his sliders and tack the fenders to the tubes. They work great as bumpstops! BTW, his sliders are awesome! Brandon at RIDES makes them. There boatsides make from 1/4" that cover the whole frame and rocker. Really stiffend up the jeep. Kinda boatsides and frame stiffies both. I'll see if I can get some better pics.
